Baptized into Christ through the action of the Spirit, and made his priestly people, we are gifted with the Spirit of Christ to preach to others, in word and deed, the joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Renewing our baptismal commitment, the Sacrament of Confirmation allows us to contemplate the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives with its gifts: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord.
For parishioners baptized as infants and who have received First Eucharist, we usually celebrate Confirmation in the Easter Season of eight grade. Candidates for Confirmation complete a two-year preparation and formation process that begins in September of seventh grade. This preparation and formation process happens through the parish’s Faith Formation Program. Please contact the parish’s Coordinator for Faith Formation and Religious Education.
Adults who need to make Confirmation can contact the pastor to begin a process of formation.
